Looking Ahead to ISA Sign Expo 2017

One of the events we look forward to every year at Erie Custom Signs is the annual ISA Sign Expo. This April we’re heading there once again, and are looking forward to living and breathing all things signs surrounded by many other big names in the industry!
ISA’s International Sign Expo has been running for nearly 70 years now, and consistently breaks its own records in exhibit sales and attendance. This year there are expected to be more than 20,000 attendees, with approximately 600 suppliers, making it the biggest sign event of the year.
Each year, there are plenty of opportunities to find the information and resources sign shops need to be successful in their industry, including digital signage, wide format printing, ideas for printing on various types of surfaces, outstanding applications to give an exciting boost to existing products, LED signage, vehicle wrapping and much more. It’s always fascinating to walk around the convention and see the latest advances and trends in signage!
Digital print imaging has been one of the biggest reasons why the event has expanded to the size it currently is. These advancements in technology have truly energized the signage market. The proliferation of these technologies has allowed for more variety and creativity, which has made space for more sign shops and providers to thrive in today’s market.
This isn’t just an American event, either. Every year, attendees come from nearly 100 countries all over the world. This is truly a world showcase of signage, and it’s incredible to see the kinds of innovations happening in signage all over the world.
There are also awards handed out at each expo to recognize leaders in the industry for their new, innovative products they’ve put out. A panel of experts from the International Sign Association picks a single winner in three categories: Print, Business Solutions and Software, and Electronic and Traditional Signage.
We are very excited for April to come so we can head out to Las Vegas for this convention. We’ll be sure to share some of the more exciting parts of the trip when we return!
