Our Story
Erie Custom Signs began in 1962 as Erie Marking Tool, specializing in industrial tags. It was purchased in November 2009, during the Great Recession, and renamed Erie Custom Signs. The new owners’ vision was to provide quality custom ADA signage. They wanted to offer a product that could be sold outside of the geographic area and create jobs in the local market. In March 2010, they expanded and changed the shop’s focus to align with their vision.
After several years and many changes in equipment, software, and buildings, Erie Custom Signs has become a leading manufacturer of wholesale ADA signage.
We regularly work with fellow sign shop owners and print professionals who want to sell our signs as their own for effortless revenue. But our ADA sign company also works with end users, interior designers, furniture dealers, contractors, and architects. In each case, we strive to provide the best customer service and support possible.
